Collaboration is the hallmark of our practice.
We introduce our clients to a vast geographical network of like-minded international experts and local specialists, and work with them to assemble multi-disciplinary teams specific to their needs.
Our collaborative style and versatile team enables us to address challenges in the planning and design of cities both locally and abroad.
The Roberts Day Planning & Design Forum (PDF) is now one of our most effective methods of fostering community, agency, and industry collaboration. In contrast to the conventional linear and sequential approach where specialists and decision makers operate in isolation, we moderate participatory forums over for periods of between three and five days . Through the PDF we collapse planning approval timeframes.
The PDF approach offers several other advantages in allowing us to:
- convene on location, where we can immerse ourselves in the physical setting and develop a deeper understanding of what makes a place and its people unique;
- foster transformational experiences by empowering civic leaders, client groups, community representatives to contribute to the shaping of urban places;
- nurture a shared vision - participants gain an insight to the value of their contributions which engenders long-term support and enthusiasm for the outcomes of a project.
