Roberts day helped the client create distinction in the competitive Mandurah marketplace by opening up views and public access to the waterfront. This approach greatly assisted in Mariners Cove becoming the first project to sell cottage lots outside metropolitan Perth.
Roberts Day also brought together expert local architects, builders and building suppliers to capture a lightweight and vibrant architectural character, typified by the waterfront mixed-use sales centre.
Beyond the built form success of the project, Mariners Cove created a 93-hectare international wildlife reserve and celebrated aboriginal heritage in public art.
